From Infrastructure to Impact: How Drychem India Is Supporting Learning Across India
Strong educational systems are built not only through curriculum and teaching, but also through the quality of infrastructure available to students. Recognising that thousands of children still study without access to essential facilities, Drychem India Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its social impact efforts through Walplast Welfare Foundation by strengthening education infrastructure across more than 100 schools in FY 2025–2026.
The initiative spans schools located in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. These regions are closely linked to the company’s operational footprint, allowing Drychem to build stronger local engagement while delivering meaningful support to nearby communities.
The programme focuses on creating better learning environments by providing computers, printers, benches, desks, chairs, writing boards, school bags, water coolers, sanitation units, lighting systems, office furniture and stationery supplies. Such resources help improve classroom functionality while making schools more welcoming and effective spaces for students.
For students in underserved communities, access to these facilities can significantly improve attendance, participation and learning outcomes. Clean water and sanitation create healthier school environments, while proper seating and classroom tools help students remain attentive and engaged. Technology support introduces digital learning opportunities that are increasingly essential in modern education.
Commenting on the initiative, Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director at Drychem India Pvt Ltd said, “Through focused, on-ground interventions, we aim to improve not just access to resources, but the overall quality of learning experiences for students across communities. Our approach is to build scalable, sustainable impact that continues to empower future generations.”
A key strength of the initiative is its partnership-driven model. By collaborating with local authorities, school management teams and community representatives, Drychem ensures that every intervention is relevant, practical and sustainable.
The company’s continued investment in education also builds on its earlier partnership with Project Nanhi Kali, reflecting a focused commitment to supporting girls’ education, empowering young women, and creating brighter opportunities for their future.
At a time when infrastructure remains critical to improving learning outcomes, Drychem India’s work highlights the powerful role businesses can play in shaping stronger communities. Its efforts prove that when classrooms improve, futures improve with them.
