Dr. Prasant’s efforts extend beyond academic institutions. He has promoted digital literacy through free computer coaching programs, enabling thousands of students across India to gain crucial digital skills. As a pioneer of the Digital India Mission, he ensures inclusivity in the technological revolution. Dr. Prasant’s multifaceted initiatives make him a beacon of inspiration, showcasing how the integration of education and technology can forge a brighter future.

Early Life

Born on May 16, 1996, in Rayagada, Orissa, India, Dr. Prasant P.’s early years were influenced by his family’s modest socio-economic background. His father, P. Bileswar Rao, a daily wage worker, and his mother, a dedicated homemaker, prioritized education despite financial constraints. Inspired by his grandfather, a school principal, Dr. Prasant was motivated to address the educational challenges faced by marginalized communities in Orissa. He began his journey as a part-time teacher, dedicated to bridging educational gaps and empowering others through knowledge.

His Journey

Dr. Prasant’s journey is marked by his relentless pursuit of knowledge and commitment to innovation and education. After completing his schooling, he pursued a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) and a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at Mangalam School of Management Technology. During his studies, he exhibited a passion for teaching and training, taking on part-time roles as a teacher and corporate trainer.

His dedication led to a position as an Assistant Professor at City University in Punjab, Ludhiana. Within 1.5 years, he became the Assistant Director of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell and later an Innovation Ambassador by the Government of India Innovation Council. In June 2021, he became the Deputy Dean Academic at Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology, further expanding his impact.

In 2021, he received an honorary Doctorate in Computer Application and Information Technology (Cyber Security) from the World Human Rights Protection Commission. By 2023, he completed his Ph.D. in Computer Application and Information Technology from Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University in Kanpur. He achieved a significant milestone by becoming the youngest registrar in India, serving as Registrar cum Associate Professor at the School of Information Technology at the Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH) in Bhubaneswar.

His Works

Contributions as an Educationist

Dr. Prasant’s meticulous approach to teaching began with part-time roles in computer applications, where he specialized in software courses like C++. At Metapro Computer Pvt Ltd, he extended his expertise to senior citizens, helping them acquire essential computer skills. In academia, he taught various programs, including Java, Scrum, Tally, and SAP software, benefiting over 10,000 students, especially in engineering.

Efforts as an Innovation Ambassador

As an Innovation Ambassador, Dr. Prasant mentored aspiring entrepreneurs, offering guidance on trademarks, copyrights, MSME loan support, and funding. He supported notable startups like JMD Technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic and Water Tech Pvt Ltd, which developed technology to convert wastewater into drinking water.

Establishing “Coding Pathshala”

In 2013, Dr. Prasant founded PCSM (Prasant Computer Studies and Management), later rebranding it as Coding Pathshala in 2022. This initiative offers affordable courses in multiple languages, reaching over 1,000 students across India. Registered under the Startup India program, Coding Pathshala aligns with the Digital India mission, promoting digital literacy and entrepreneurship.

Research, Patents, and Publications

Dr. Prasant has published over seven research papers and holds around 12 patents in technology and education. His notable patents include a smart mobile charging device using solar panels and an AI-based technique for identifying medicine names. He has authored more than six books on topics ranging from programming to business finance, available in esteemed institutions.

Training and Mentorship Sessions

Dr. Prasant has conducted extensive training and awareness sessions on cybersecurity, problem-solving, and digital techniques. Through webinars and in-person sessions, he has reached over 100,000 students, promoting ethical behavior and cybersecurity awareness.
