HomeSure’s Multi-Category Growth Strengthens Walplast’s Building Solutions Strategy

The Indian construction market is becoming increasingly solution-oriented. Whether it is gypsum plaster, tile installation, waterproofing or surface finishing, homeowners and professionals are looking for products that combine performance, ease of application and consistency. For building materials companies, this is creating an opportunity to move beyond individual products and build comprehensive portfolios.

Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd. is pursuing precisely this approach through its HomeSure B2C brand, and its April-June 2026 performance highlights the momentum behind the strategy.

During the first quarter, HomeSure GypEx Walbond recorded an impressive 157% year-on-year growth, while GypEx Gypsum Plaster grew 97%. HomeSure TileEx Tile Adhesive registered 75% growth. The company also recorded 55% growth in Textures, 40% each in Wall Putty and Tile Cleaner, and 25% in Cementitious Tile Grout.

The breadth of this growth is particularly significant. Rather than being concentrated in a single product category, demand has increased across multiple segments of Walplast’s portfolio.

Kaushal Mehta, Managing Director, Walplast Products Pvt. Ltd., believes this reflects a wider change in customer expectations.

“HomeSure products such as Walbond, Gypsum Plaster, Tile Adhesives and more continue to witness strong demand as builders, contractors and homeowners increasingly seek quality-driven, application-specific solutions,” Mehta said.

The company has consequently been expanding HomeSure to address a broader range of construction and finishing requirements. The portfolio now includes Wall Putty, Tile Adhesives, Tile Grouts, Gypsum Plasters, Gypsum Boards, Textures, Decorative Paints, Construction Chemicals, Waterproofing Solutions and Admixtures.

This diversification is being supported by manufacturing and R&D investments. Walplast has 25 manufacturing facilities and NABL-accredited R&D laboratories, enabling it to develop and scale products across different categories. Its distribution infrastructure with more than 800 distributors, 6,000 dealers and 65,000 influencers also plays an important role in taking these products closer to end users.

The company’s growth strategy is not limited to product development. Walplast is strengthening its presence across key markets including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh while exploring newer geographies.

“Growth is being witnessed across multiple categories, validating our strategy of building a comprehensive building materials portfolio,” Mehta said. “We will continue investing in innovation, capacity expansion and channel partnerships to accelerate growth and strengthen our position as one of India’s leading integrated building materials companies.”

The company’s international footprint further supports this ambition, with products exported to more than 23 countries.

As construction activity expands and customers become more discerning about product performance, the ability to offer interconnected solutions could become an increasingly important competitive advantage. Walplast’s Q1 performance suggests that its strategy of combining product innovation, manufacturing scale and distribution expansion is gaining traction.

For the company, the larger opportunity lies in creating a single, trusted ecosystem of building and finishing solutions—one that can serve homeowners, contractors, architects and builders across different stages of construction.
